A Journey That Led to a Solution

After graduating from Cardiff University, our founder, Naiya Ghuman, set out to explore the world. She travelled extensively, visiting more than 45 countries and spending significant time across the Muslim world, learning about different cultures, communities and ways of life.

During those travels, she began to notice a quiet but very real concern. Many people were struggling to find medicines they could trust to be suitable for their faith. Everyday products that most people take without a second thought could contain ingredients that were unclear, unsuitable or not halal certified. For families, parents and individuals already dealing with illness, this created another layer of worry at the very moment they needed reassurance.

That experience stayed with her. On returning to the United Kingdom, Naiya decided to find a solution. To make sure Halal Medicine was built with genuine understanding, she partnered with an experienced Muslim pharmacist who could bring both professional expertise and a clear understanding of the concerns faced by Muslim patients and families.

Together, they worked to source ethical products manufactured to recognised halal standards, establish the appropriate pharmacy and regulatory foundations, and create a service built around trust, transparency and inclusion.

Halal Medicine was created to make trusted healthcare more accessible to people everywhere. Our aim is simple: to provide high-quality medicines that are halal certified, ethically sourced and suitable for everyone, regardless of faith, race or background.

Medicine you can trust. For everyone.
